Inside Sales Associate

WCP is looking for an experienced individual to join our team as an Inside Sales Associate. This person would work closely with the Director of Sales. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills. We look for drive above all else – so if you’re not hungry to better yourself personally and professionally, you need not apply. We are a group of “A players” who want to surround ourselves with other “A players.” You will be working with an Executive of the business on a daily basis to help grow his sales team and the company as a whole.

Tasks include but are not limited to:
• Identity prospective customers through persistent cold calling and internet research and work with existing clients while sharing information with them regarding loan procedures, rates, policies, and underwriting requirements
• Cultivate relationships to convert inbound sales inquiries to leads
• Practice and follow scripts that deliver the team value proposition and handle objections
• Qualify leads to accurately convey motivation, competition, and financial specifics to Loan Officers
• Manage database to ensure processes run smoothly and there is rigorous lead follow-up
• Accurately track and report productivity and sales metrics
• Understand and internalize evolving real estate trends in the local market

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in real estate, inside sales, or business
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• Exceptional telephone skills – ability to set and qualify leads over the phone and willingness to spend most of the workday on the phone
• Ability to learn and internalize scripts and dialogues
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ambitious with a proven ability to succeed
• Very well organized with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics is a big plus
• Ability to work independently and initiate follow through – need a self-starter!
• Ability to work in a team-based, fast paced environment
• Not afraid to work long hours if need be

  • Assist with post-closing servicing,for example: communicating with delinquent borrowers
  • Work along with Sales Associate on valuations
  • Send proof of funds letters to clients
  • Set up new loan applications in our technology system

Accounting Assistant

Washington Capital Partners, a real estate investment finance company in Falls Church, VA seeks a full-time Accounting Assistant to join our growing team. 

 The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for performing general bookkeeping, assisting the senior staff accountant and the rest of the accounting team. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a general knowledge of technical and operational accounting and finance functions are a must. 

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Responsible for AR and AP functions
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports
  • Help analyzing and reconciling internal general ledger accounts and bank statements
  • Assist in the maintenance the general ledger chart of accounts
  • Assist in the preparation and adjustment of journal entries
  • Assist in posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals
  • Assist with month-end close
  • Assist with taxes and financial audits
  • Assist with other accounting tasks as may be required from time to time

 Requirements/Experience: 

  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior accounting members
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Prior bookkeeping related experience.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
  • Read,write and speak English fluently

Construction Draw Specialist

WCP is looking for a full-time Construction Draw Specialist . The ideal candidate must be an energetic person who takes directives well, is detailed oriented, and is a self-starter. The Construction Draw Specialist will manage his/her own tasks to meet deadlines without constant oversight from directors. 

 Daily tasks include but are not limited to: 

  • Inform borrowers about construction draw process
  • Coordinate/manage property inspections with various third-party inspectors
  • Review/analyze construction budgets submitted. Identify and address any issues.
  • Review inspection reports. Identify and address any issues
  • Working directly with borrowers and contractors
  • Ensure funds sent out are appropriate and justified.
  • Manage release of draws by working with appropriate departments and capital conduits
  • Manage flow of funds available to fund draws
  • Create reports with breakdown of draws sent
  • Creating and enforcing processes to continually optimize and better the borrower experience.
  • Perform construction inspections and re-inspections
  • Capture pertinent data for reporting purposes
  • Research the proper inspection and construction methods to be prepared for inspection requirements
  • Remain aware of project and construction schedules
  • Maintain updated and detailed records of work performed
  • Perform various administrative duties required by the WCP team

Requirements: 

  • 2 years prior construction inspection or related construction experience preferred 
  • Ability to follow directions, undertake necessary training, and gain applicable inspection certifications 
  • Strong organizational, time management, written and oral communication skills required 
  • Ability to work in a high-paced work environment with minimal supervision 
  • Understands the general nature of construction and contracting 
  • Computer skills and is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, email and the internet 
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds occasionally

Salary: $50,000.00 to $54,000.00 /year
