About You

You are an accomplished and top-producing salesperson. You have a hunter mentality, with an insatiable desire to continuously improve your skills and produce at a high level. You focus on driving new business while maintaining and closing a large multi-million-dollar pipeline at all times. You’re familiarized with the challenges and needs of real estate investors and are adept at building relationships with them, advising them, and creating financing solutions for them. People recognize you as a thought leader or subject matter expert, and you are well-versed with product and industry knowledge. Opportunity

 As part of our dynamic team of Commercial Loan Officers, you will be the face of the company within your region. You will have the opportunity to utilize proven sales methods to prospect, qualify, and close sales through positive customer interactions. You will be responsible for educating the market on the Washington Capital Partners’ product line, company advantages, and value propositions, to negotiate, and close loans. You will be armed with the most diverse and competitive product suite in the industry and will have access to originating fix and flip, new construction, rental properties, rental portfolios, multi-family bridge/ground-up, and commercial loans. You’ll be supported in everything you do with a full-service, and best-in-class team.

Your originations will be sourced by tapping into your network, growing business and referral partnerships, and ultimately developing relationships with successful real estate investors. Although you’ll be responsible for closing loans in your region, you’ll have access to originating loans everywhere we’re open for business.

Overall, you will achieve both the sales goals and service levels of the organization by developing/maintaining strong partnerships, and always working to exceed expectations. You can control and define your potential as well as your career path at WCP.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Identify prospective customers and work with existing clients while sharing information with them regarding loan products, rates, policies, and underwriting requirements
  • Closing new business by contacting potential investors
  • Provide world-class customer service
  • Maintain consistent baseline performance standards in various metrics, and exceed performance goals
  • Maintain knowledge in a rapidly changing industry
  • Generate business through customer referrals, and networking while promoting our company brand
  • Be a team player willing to assist, and work with others
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Act as a consultant/advisor to borrowers, including educating borrowers on WCP’s products and services, collecting and analyzing borrower’s assets and investments, and advising borrowers regarding the advantages and disadvantages of WCP financial products
  • Guiding borrowers through the investment process, including counseling borrowers on how to become qualified to do business with WCP
  • Screening potential business deals to protect WCP’s assets – have an underwriter mentality
  • Ensuring proper collection of required documents, and closing schedules
  • Working closely and collaboratively with the operations team during the closing process


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree – preferred but not required
  • 1+ years of experience in real estate, fix and flip, new construction, rental loans, and/or multifamily preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in a sales role with a proven sales track record
  • Have built a book of origination at least $1mm+ per month from purely self-sourced opportunities, not distributed company leads
  • Possess an existing book of business or an extensive network of contacts that are either real estate investors, mortgage brokers, or referral partners in your local market
  • Proven top producer and loan originator within your past teams – top 10%
  • Skilled in prospecting/lead generation, negotiation, overcoming objections, managing relationships, comfortable making calls to new and existing clients
  • Worked in high-dollar value, high-volume sales industry
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to creatively source and develop new business
  • Energetic and passionate about providing the best customer experience in the industry
  • Proficient in English — Spanish desirable as well but not required
  • Microsoft Office: Word, PPT, and Excel, Adobe
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure to meet deadlines

 

Expectations:

  • Provide unmatched customer service
  • Personally, source and submit $3-4+ million and fund at least $2+ million in closed loans per month (after initial training and ramp period)
  • Carry yourself with the highest level of professionalism in the industry
  • Fully understand the real estate investment industry and be able to effectively communicate how the WCP product suite can help our clients grow
  • Educate business partners, referral sources, brokers, and investors on the WCP value proposition, and become a trusted advisor in your markets for all things related to real estate financing
  • Be able to analyze, and accurately structure loan opportunities
  • Generate and prospect your own business. Speak at industry events, host meetups, seminars, and industry networking functions to build your book of business and promote the WCP brand
  • Act with urgency and attack each day with great motivation to succeed, and be the best in the industry
  • Focus your time and efforts on prospecting and driving new business, while also managing a loan pipeline with strong closing conversations
  • Contribute to advancing the Sales Department as well as Washington Capital Partners’ overall growth plan by fulfilling qualitative and quantitative deliverables
  • Be a team player, be open to learning in an innovative environment, and seek to grow professionally in a challenging but fun environment

Sales Administrative Assistant

WCP is looking for an entry-level full-time Sales Administrative Assistant to join our growing sales team. The ideal candidate must be an energetic person who takes directions well, is detailed oriented, and is a self-starter. The Sales Administrative Assistant will manage his/her own tasks to meet company targets and deadlines without constant oversight from directors. 

 Tasks include but are not limited to: 

  • Work on real estate appraisals, transactions, and titling paperwork
  • Assist with post-closing servicing, for example: communicating with delinquent borrowers
  • Work along with Sales Associate on valuations
  • Send proof of funds letters to clients
  • Set up new loan applications in our technology system
  • Assist with document collection
  • Provide world-class customer service
  • Maintain consistent baseline performance standards in various metrics and exceed performance goals
  • Maintain knowledge in a rapidly changing industry
  • Generate business through customer referrals and networking while promoting our company brand
  • Be a team player willing to assist and work with others
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned

 Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not necessary
  • Experience preferred but not necessary
  • English Language — Spanish desirable as well but not required

Salary: Commensurate with experience plus we offer a medical and dental package, paid sick and vacation leave, 401k contribution, office snacks, and a relaxed work environment.
