Prospecting Associate

WCP is looking for an experienced, innovative individual to join our team as a Prospecting Associate. This person will work closely with the Director of Sales, specifically regarding front end prospecting and operational logistics for his team. The ideal candidate for this position would have both sales and real estate experience. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills.

As part of our dynamic Sales Team, you will have the opportunity to utilize proven sales methods to generate prospecting lists and manage relationships with leads through positive, productive interactions.

In-House Counsel

We’re looking for an In-House Counsel to join our real estate investment lending team.

This In-House General Counsel will provide a variety of legal advisory services for the firm. The ideal candidate with have experience and competency in negotiating, writing, and executing real estate investment agreements and other related legal documents.

In-House Counsel will coordinate with the rest of the legal team as well as other departments and must have excellent communication skills, organization, attention to details, and time management skills.

Operations Associate

WCP is looking for an experienced, innovative individual to join our team as an Operations Associate. This person would work closely with the Sales team, specifically regarding operational logistics for the team. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills.

Operations Associates will train under the Sales Team as well as other team members so that they can begin to effectively accomplish tasks and duties with less supervision.

Prospecting Associate

Job Description:

Real Estate Investment Finance company in Falls Church, VA seeks a full-time Prospecting Associate to join our growing Sales Team. The ideal candidate must be an experienced, innovative individual to join our team as a Prospecting Associate. This person will work closely with the Director of Sales, specifically regarding front end prospecting and operational logistics for his team. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills.

We look for drive above all else. It may seem taboo to state in a job posting, but if you are looking for a 9-5 job this is not it. Those that go above and beyond will be rewarded and naturally excel within the company. We are a group of “A players” who want to surround ourselves with other “A players.” The ideal candidate for this position would have sales and real estate background. Past experience as a realtor, processor at a title company, data analyst, or any sales experience is a big plus. You will be working with an Executive of the business on a daily basis to help grow his sales team and the company as a whole. This role will be pivotal in driving additional sales for the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or progress towards such a degree/comparative work experience)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in real estate, or business
  • Substantial track record in a sales role
  • Strong communication skills
  • Very well organized with attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics is a big plus
  • Capability to write creatively
  • Ability to work independently and initiate follow through – need a self-starter!

  • Not afraid to work long hours if need be (end of the month is hectic for closings)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Generating prospecting lists – data analysis using the MLS (Matrix)
  • Company research – you will need to find and document contact information for potential clients
  • Manage relationships with prospective clients/borrowers
  • Call and email prospects to build relationships and drive additional sales
  • Schedule and attend prospective client meetings
  • Managing team marketing campaigns and social media as is necessary
  • Communication with borrowers, vendors, capital conduits, etc.
  • Run comparable analysis (comps), research market trends and aid with prospecting campaigns
  • Compose letters and emails to clients
  • Draft content as needed – requires creative writing skills
  • Management of client contact information for prospects

This role includes is primarily a sales position with elements of data analysis, property analysis, client facing communication, prospecting, loan/CRM management, marketing, and social media. As we add additional members to the team, these tasks will naturally become more compartmentalized.

Past experience as a realtor, executive assistant, processor at a title company, data analyst, or any operational experience is a big plus.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collection of documents from borrowers as needed
  • Management of documents in the company CRM system – Microsoft Dynamics
  • Communication with borrowers, vendors, capital conduits, etc.
  • Coordination with the processing department both pre and post-closing
  • Helping to collect late payments from borrowers – ensuring a low percentage of delinquencies
  • Manage maturing loans – help to keep the book clean
  • Scheduling events and meetings for Sales team
  • Coordination with Marketing Department to perform drip campaigns
  • Generating prospecting lists – data analysis using the MLS
  • Run comparable analysis (comps), research market trends and aid with prospecting campaigns

In-House Counsel

Job Description:

Washington Capital Partners, a real estate investment finance company in Falls Church, VA seeks a full-time In-House General Counsel to provide legal advisory services for the firm. The ideal candidate must be an energetic person who is a team player, is detailed oriented, and is a self-starter. The In-House General Counsel will manage his/her own tasks to meet deadlines without constant supervision from the executive team.

Requirements:

  • Must have a law degree (Juris Doctor) from an accredited university
  • Must be admitted to the Virginia, Maryland, and/or Washington DC bar
  • Ideally have 5+ year of experience gained in a law firm, title company, and/or in-house with a private sector company
  • Interest in real estate, mergers, and acquisitions, and negotiations
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization
  • Strong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/commercial issues
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships across all businesses

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Negotiating, writing and executing real estate investment agreements as well as contracts on behalf of the company
  • Offering counsel on a variety of legal issues
  • Advising executives within the company
  • Working alongside other departments within the company
  • Advising on contract status, business risks and risk mitigation strategies, and the legal liabilities associated with different real estate related deals including but not limited to: the evaluation of existing property special assessments, restrictions, zoning issues, building codes, lien releases, ADA, etc.)
  • Conduct title and survey review and perform due diligence on prospective loan deals; prepare and review contracts, and coordinate closings
  • Researching and anticipating unique legal issues that could impact the company
  • Reviewing advertising and marketing materials to ensure that they are in compliance with legal requirements
  • Manage real estate disputes including litigation
  • Providing training to the company on legal topics
  • Performing other duties as required or assigned
